The role

Site Maintenance Officer

At Caring Homes, our maintenance team are the people everyone turns to when something needs fixing, checking, or sprucing up. You’ll be in charge of repairs, safety checks, and general upkeep, keeping things running like a well-oiled machine and making sure the home is welcoming and well cared for.

Your responsibilities:

  • Carrying out routine repairs and general maintenance across the home
  • Completing minor fixes (e.g. plumbing, painting, fixtures, basic electrics)
  • Leading on safety inspections, compliance checks, and record-keeping
  • Helping with room setups, moves, and occasional furniture shifts
  • Keeping communal and outdoor areas clean, safe, and in good working order
  • Responding quickly to maintenance requests with a practical, can-do approach

What you’ll bring to the roles:

  • Experience in building or property maintenance
  • Skills in basic plumbing, electrics, decorating - or all of the above!
  • A practical, can-do mindset and the ability to juggle different tasks
  • A friendly, reliable approach and willingness to be part of the team
  • A genuine pride in your work and care for the environment you're maintaining
