I bring over 16 years of experience in the care sector, having started my career as a Carer. From day one, I knew that working in care was more than just a job—it was a calling. Through hard work, genuine compassion, and a deep commitment to making a difference, I progressed into senior roles including Senior Carer, Team Leader, and Nursing Home Administrator.
My passion for care—and for supporting others to thrive—led me to self-fund and complete a management course. That decision was a turning point. It confirmed what I already felt: I wanted to lead my own care home, support both residents and staff, and create a positive, person-centred culture.
My journey with Caring Homes began on April 30th, 2018. Since then, I’ve grown both personally and professionally in an environment that truly values quality care, career progression, and compassionate leadership. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in several key roles, including Deputy Manager, where I spent five incredibly rewarding years learning, leading, and helping others grow.
In August 2024, I was proud to become the Home Manager of Latham Lodge Nursing Home. By April 2025, I will have been part of the Caring Homes family for seven years—a journey filled with growth, challenges, and countless rewarding moments.
As a Home Manager, I lead with empathy, integrity, and a clear focus on high standards in care delivery. My approach is warm and collaborative—I believe in nurturing a culture where residents feel safe, respected, and truly at home, where staff feel empowered and supported, and where families can trust that their loved ones are in compassionate, capable hands.
I’ve always believed that emotional intelligence and empathy are at the heart of great care. These qualities help me connect meaningfully with residents, relatives, and colleagues, especially during the most sensitive and emotional moments. I do my best to create a calm, supportive environment where open communication is encouraged and where trust is built every day.
Supporting careers in care is also something I’m passionate about. I love mentoring others and helping them progress through the many opportunities available in the health and social care sector. Whether you’re just starting out as a care assistant or aiming for a management role, Caring Homes is a place where you can grow.
Being part of this journey—and helping shape the future of care—means everything to me.
