From a Home Administrator to Recruitment Advisor

I started my Caring Homes journey in 2016 as a Home Administrator and stayed within this role for just over five years. The part of the role I enjoyed the most was talking to the residents and listening to their life stories. The residents, staff and relatives, along my journey, have taught me many things which I am truly grateful for.

In February 2022, I decided I wanted to change my role and I joined the Recruitment Team who I had also worked alongside with as a home administrator. Recruitment within the company was something that had always interested me and I felt bringing my experience from working in a Nursing Home would benefit not just the team but also all of our homes too.

There are endless opportunities within the company where progression is offered. I would highly recommend any staff member who is thinking about studying an NVQ within the company or progressing into another role to make the move.

I believe we all have our own goals, but ultimately, we would like the homes to be the best they can be and to always have the staff that represent this.

  • I learn something every day and many of those things I will carry for the rest of my life.
