Rendlesham Care Centre scoops two top awards
Rendlesham Care Centre has won two top awards this week at the Caring Homes Group Recognition Awards.
With more than 5,500 employees across the group Rendlesham Care Centre beat off stiff competition to be recognised as having the Best Dementia Care Team of the Year and centre manager Ruth Halls was awarded the prestigious Caring Homes Manager of the Year title.
The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony hosted at the Grove Hotel in Watford and presented by musician and singer Ronan Keating.
Located by Rendlesham Forest on the outskirts of the village, Rendlesham Care Centre in Suffolk, offers residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 elderly residents, in a peaceful location.
Ruth Halls started working for Caring Homes in 2012 at Hillside in Sudbury, and went on to provide compliance coordination for all of our homes in Suffolk and Norfolk before joining Rendlesham as Home Manager.
Following a review of over 3,000 nominations received from colleagues and people supported for the awards, Ruth was shortlisted for the top manager award and her team shortlisted in the dementia care category.
The judges shared the views of one nomination which stated; “The team work well together to provide a safe and happy environment for the residents and make their stay with us as comfortable as possible while providing relatives with complete peace of mind.”
Another nomination stated; “Ruth has displayed loyalty and dedication to the residents, staff and the company and has moved Rendlesham care Centtre forward in providing great care.” “An excellent manager who gets the best out of her team and is respected by her staff and families alike.”
Attended by over 340 guests the evening was a great occasion, with colleagues and business partners coming together to celebrate the very best care and support provided by outstanding people.
